Welcome to Godford Farm.

The farm is situated in a beautiful river valley overlooking Blackdown Hills AONB .

We are an ideal location for visiting all of Devon, West Somerset and Dorset. We are just 2.5 miles from the market town of Honiton or 10 miles from the coastal resort of Sidmouth and the Jurassic Coastline . 30 minutes will take you to Lyme Regis in Dorset or the sandy beaches of Exmouth. 1 hour and you will be on the rugged moorlands of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Scattered around are small villages, some thatched and rural open spaces of countryside. Devon is the only county that can boast 2 moorlands and 2 coastlines, the North Devon coast being only 1hr 15 mins away for surfing and water sports. The South Devon coast offers gentler and calmer seas and sandy beaches.

There are 125 acres of farmland for you to explore, wellies needed for crossing streams, investigating the claypits, traditional hedgerows, wildlife (deer, rabbits, hares, foxes, badgers etc), birdwatching (rare white egrets, woodpeckers, duck, pheasant, owls etc), and on sunny evenings watch the Bats swoop and dive, before returning to the loft of the old farmhouse, where they have hung for many generations!

This area has many good eating places, village pubs, wine bars, restaurants, There is a pub that is just ½ mile away in village centre or another 1 ½ miles away. You can also have an award winning breakfast in the farmhouse – prior booking only. Whether you choose a self-catering holiday or self-catering and breakfasts, it is an excellent family holiday, with beautiful rural views of rolling Devon hills and the countryside.

If you are on a business trip we are 5 mins from A30/A35 or 12 mins from M5 (J28), or 15 mins from A303. We are equal distance from Exeter, Taunton & Tiverton. WIFI is available in each cottage by arrangement.
