Agriculture and farming follows a cycle of patterns that are dictated by the seasons. Whenever you choose to take your holiday on a farm remember that with each season something wonderful awaits.............

Springtime is newly born animals, primroses and daffodils in meadows of lush grass. Crops are planted in newly ploughed fields. May sees woodland carpeted with bluebells and flowering gorse and heathers on common land. The task of getting in next winters fodder begins.

Summer is flowering scented hedgerows and sweet smelling hay. The corn crops begin to ripen and turn golden. Lazy days on the beach or cycling in the lanes. Cream teas and Barbecues and warm evenings sat in the garden. Village Fetes, Agricultural and animal shows or Craft fairs.

Winter is when nature takes a rest and life is at a slower pace, with cosy log fires, sparkling frosts and the odd snow flurry. Time to take stock and plan for next years seasons.
